Polar King Mobile’s Refrigerated Trailer FAQ
What size refrigerated trailers are available?
Polar King Mobile (PKM) has three standard refrigerated trailer sizes. We offer 6’ x 8’, 6’ x 12’, and 6’ x 16’ trailers.
What is the operating temperature of your refrigerated trailers?
PKM units provide a temperature range of -10°F to 50°F.
What type of refrigeration unit does PKM use?
The actual cooling of the trailer is achieved using a GOVI arktik 2000US series refrigeration unit.
What are the electrical specifications?
PKM refrigerated trailers are all electric and require only 110V and 15 amps.
What size generator would I need to run the 110V Govi system?
We recommend a 6000W minimum generator.
Have validation reports been completed and are the available?
Yes, validation testing shows that all three standard trailers hold 0°F (-18°C) in 95°F ambient temperature. The reports can be downloaded from the PKM website.
What are some typical applications for the Polar King Mobile product line?
Our refrigerated trailers are a perfect solution for athletic events, cold rooms, commercial beer coolers, emergencies, country fairs, government, grand openings, hospitals, hunting, K-12 and post-secondary schools, mortuary, new construction sites, remodel & replace, rental, restaurants and more.
Will Polar King Mobile be sold directly to end users or through dealers?
The short answer is that PKM will sell through North American Trailers Dealer member organizations. PKM has already received commitments from dealers across the United States and is actively looking to expand this network.
Are the mobile units available in a freezer model?
Yes. Refrigeration goes from -10º F to 50º F.
When it comes to custom, how much customization is possible?
PKM will only sell these standard units. If you would like to custom build a trailer unit, a representative from Polar King International will assist you through the design of your unit.
Is it easy to hook up to a vehicle? Can this be accomplished onsite?
With 110V, it doesn’t get any easier. Generators or an inverter are required if you want to be mobile, but this will be a user decision and purchase.
